Job summary
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Administration Team Leader to join our dynamic Surgery and Urology service.
This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in leading a busy administrative team, supporting high-demand clinical services including colorectal, upper GI, urology, vascular, and general surgery.
The successful candidate will provide visible leadership, ensuring the effective day-to-day running of non-admitted pathways, cancer tracking, and outpatient booking functions. You will be instrumental in driving service improvement, supporting recovery programmes, and creating a positive and supportive working environment for staff.
Main duties of the job
To provide an administrative service to the Department. To plan and organise own work schedule with the use of appropriate planning aids, demonstrating good time management and ensure anticipated difficulties in meeting deadlines are promptly reported. Deal with Consultants' requests for actioning urgent correspondence, medico-legal reports and any other appropriate ad hoc correspondence requested in line with the Trusts policies and procedures To obtain and organise information in support of own work activities, maintain confidentiality in accordance with organisation procedures. To provide administrative support to all meetings. This will include the arranging of, preparation and distribution of agendas, taking and distributing minutes and other documents for meetings, arranging venues, refreshments etc. Take minutes as required ensuring they are accurate and actioned in a timely manner.

Experience Essential
Experience of working within a team/office environment Experience of taking and recording meeting minutes Customer care experience. Administrative experience Experience in manipulating spreadsheets. Experienced user of Microsoft office (Excel, Word)
