Job summary
We are looking for an experienced and confident Healthcare Assistant (HCA) on a part to full time basis.
Shift Patterns:
Monday to Friday 8:00am - 2:00pm
Monday to Friday 2:00pm - 8:00pm
Saturday mornings 9.00am 12.00pm (1-2 per month).
Pay Range advertised will be dependent on experience and inclusive of enhanced rate for evenings/weekends.
Main duties of the job
We are looking for a competent HCA willing to learn new skills. This is an in-person role and the ability to reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work to Farnham, GU9 9QS is essential.

We have a team of clinicians who work as an extension of the GP Practice services. Our team includes our HCAs that provide a variety of clinical tasks within a dedicated clinic, working closely with clinicians and our Admin team.

Job description Job responsibilities
We are looking for an HCA with skills in:
Phlebotomy
ECG
Completing NHS health checks for eligible patients
Wound care - dressings and stitch removal
Diabetic foot reviews
Injections and vaccinations
BP monitoring
Stock ordering, supplies maintenance
Chaperoning duties
Clinical support for specialist clinics, i.e Coils.
Processing and management of laboratory samples requested by GPs/Nurses; requesting basic pathology tests
Sterilising, cleansing and maintenance of clinical equipment
Vaccine/cold chain storage, monitoring and recording
Preparing and maintaining environments and equipment including equipment checks before, during and after patient care interventions
Assisting in the assessment and surveillance of patients.
Using all clinical systems to update patient records on EMIS.
Ordering medical supplies and checking and keeping clinical rooms stocked.
Person Specification
Qualifications Essential
Healthcare qualification (level 3 or 4) or working towards gaining equivalent level General Practice Care Certificate Qualified in Phlebotomy
Experience Essential
Experience of working in primary care
Desirable
Advanced clinical skills and training - experience in wound care and stitch removal and vaccination skills highly desirable
