Job summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Elective Orthopaedics Specialty, for a full-time, permanent, Band 6 Service Manager.
We are looking for a pro-active, dynamic, experienced manager with excellent communication, organisational, administrative, waiting list and staff management skills with a proven track record of working in a demanding and fast paced environment.
The postholder will be responsible for ensuring effective operational and strategic planning, development and management of the EO surgical services to ensure compliance with national waiting time targets. To achieve this the postholder will work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team of Divisional Managers, Consultants, Nurses and Admin Teams to ensure the effective delivery of Trust, Directorate and Team objectives.

Training and Qualifactions Essential
A level standard of education, or equivalent, to include Maths and English NVQ 3 in Management or equivalent Comprehensive IT experience/qualification ILM Introductory Management Certificate or equivalent

Experience Essential
Experience within the Healthcare sector at a management level including: project management, business planning, change management, multidisciplinary working, financial management, human resource management, performance management Evidence of having achieved Challenging healthcare and business targets Well developed IT skills to manage and report on complex performance management information systems.
