Job summary
We are looking for a Clinical Psychologist or Psychological Therapist to join our team of psychological therapies staff working in Community Mental Health Teams (CMHTs) for working age adults in North Northamptonshire. This is a fixed term position for 9 months to cover maternity leave based at St Mary's Hospital, Kettering/Isebrook Hospital, Wellingborough.
The post would be based within the CMHT psychological therapies team offering specialist psychological interventions to those with complex mental health needs. We are looking for a clinician with evidenced training who can operate with confidence and credibility to play a key role in the service.
In particular we are looking for applicants who have interest in working with individuals who present with unusual beliefs or experiences that some describe as psychosis and effects of trauma. We promote trauma-informed approaches in the wider service and work alongside CMHT multidisciplinary teams.
Main duties of the job
The main duties of the post would be to provide assessments and interventions to service users referred as well as joint working with other colleagues. There will be some liaison with colleagues from the wider CMHTs, and opportunities to provide training and be involved in service development if available.

The successful applicant would receive professional support and be professionally and clinically accountable to and overall managed by the Consultant Clinical Psychologist Service Lead for Adult Mental Health Psychology. They will be supervised and supported by a senior member of the CMHT psychological therapies team.
There are a significant number of psychologists and psychological therapists employed within the Trust working across different specialties and there are excellent opportunities for professional development through regular monthly psychology meetings and active peer supervision networks.
