For existing Band 6 staff (or above) with the relevant Community MH experience.

An opportunity has arisen to recruit 1 wte, Band 7 Neighbourhood Lead for East Staffs IMHT based in the South East locality of South Staffordshire Adult Mental Health Services.

Applicants should currently be working as a Band 6 within Mental Health Services at MPFT and have a high level of experience in community mental health care provision.

This specialist post requires the applicant to have an understanding of the business of the service and be committed to delivering at a leadership level.

The successful applicant will hold a clear understanding of the Community Mental Health Transformation program and the ongoing priorities for Mental Health Services across our Integrated Care System.

Main duties of the job

Work collaboratively with the Operational Manager, and team clinical / professional leads in the planning and delivery of the service.

To ensure that all Trust policies and guidelines are adhered to and provide guidance to clinical staff regarding implementation.

To support the local implementation of National strategies and to initiate change and practice development.

Be integral and take a lead in driving forwards the principles of Mental Health Transformation

Lead on developing team objectives in line with the integrated care agenda and care group objectives.

To actively champion and participate in quality improvement within the team, to drive forward service development and innovations through implementation of MPFT quality improvement and lean methodology.

Work with Service Leads and Head of Operations on service development and redesign and effectively manage service change across the workforce.

Work with the wider Mental Health Leadership Team with the ongoing review and redesign of services.

Lead on promoting and embedding service user involvement into the design, development and delivery of services, including ongoing processes to measures the impact service user feedback has on service.

The Integrated Mental Health teams work as part of a 'neighbourhood' offering place based provision of mental health services in partnership with other local organisations. Clinicians within the IMHT will offer interventions and treatments which are concordant with NICE guidelines, and allocation within the team will be based on the needs of the service user, matching clinician skills to service user needs.

Person Specification

Qualifications Essential

First level professional Nursing /AHP/Social Work qualification. Post-registration experience and/or evidence of formal courses and training at post graduate diploma level

Experience Essential

Experience of managing multi-disciplinary teams Experience of effectively initiating, developing, implementing and evaluating operational processes. Demonstrable experience in performance management OR Experience in the direct line management of health or social care staff Significant demonstrable post qualification experience at Band 6 working in a mental health / specialist inpatient setting. Evidence of improving service delivery in line with evidence based practice. Internal MPFT Employee - band 6 or above

Skills Essential

Comprehensive knowledge of relevant health and social care legislation and policy and challenges facing NHS providers. Knowledge and experience of audit processes. Risk assessment / risk management knowledge and skills. Knowledge of regulatory bodies and the requirements associated with this in terms of standards of service delivery, e.g. CQC. Ability to use and interrogate Trust information systems

Desirable

Skills in leading quality improvement initiatives. Project management skills
