Job summary
We now have a vacancy for a full time Ward Clerk to work on Ward B2 at Salford Royal Hospital.
You will provide a wide range of administrative and clerical duties to the ward / unit staff.
You will be responsible for the safe keeping and availability of all clinical records relating to patients and the smooth running of the ward / department office and will also provide general assistance to the ward / Unit Manager.
Main duties of the job
General clerical duties as required within the department. Ensure patient case notes are available, maintained and up to date. Data input on the Patient Administration System (PAS), in line with Trust procedures and policies. Commitment to providing a high-quality patient focused service Provide general non-clinical advice, information, and guidance of ancillary services directly to patients, clients, relatives, and carers. Deliver and collect patient's case notes, and if applicable x-rays, and investigations results from various locations throughout the hospital. Accurately file reports, notes & results efficiently. Ensure all ordering for the unit is completed timely whilst always considering the financial impact on the unit. To accurately process, record, store and maintain patient information on the relevant in-house IT systems. To accurately organise and communicate to patient using appropriate means To provide typing and photocopying support within the Day Case team
