Job summary
Korus Health is a local company that supports the work of the NHS by making ultrasound scans accessible to patients within their community. This role forms part of a clinical team working to give patients a safe and positive experience prior and during their ultrasound appointment and will support clinics in locations across the country.

The Patient Liaison and Administration Coordinator is responsible for booking patients into appointments, handling incoming and outgoing calls, and providing efficient administrative support to help ensure the smooth running of the service.
The postholder will act as a key point of contact for patients, colleagues, and external stakeholders, delivering a professional, helpful and patient-focused service at all times. The role requires the applicant to have strong communication skills, good attention to detail, be organised and have the ability to manage a high volume of tasks accurately in a busy environment.

Receive incoming calls from patients and other stakeholders in a professional and courteous manner. Make outbound calls to patients to arrange, confirm, amend, or cancel appointments.
Book patients into appropriate clinic slots in line with service requirements, availability, and booking protocols.
Provide patients with clear appointment information, including date, time, location, and any preparation instructions. Respond appropriately to patient queries, escalating clinical or complex concerns to the relevant team where required.
Administrative support Accurately enter, update and maintain patient and appointment information on relevant systems.
Process referrals, appointment changes and clinic updates in line with agreed procedures.
Prepare and send letters, emails and other routine communications.
Monitor shared inboxes and administrative workflows, ensuring tasks are dealt with in a timely manner.
Assist with general office and operational administration as required.
Compliance and standards Maintain patient confidentiality at all times and handle information in line with GDPR, data protection requirements and company policies.
Work in line with company procedures, service protocols and expected quality standards.
Contribute to a positive patient experience through professional communication and attention to detail.
Take part in training, team meetings, and service improvement activities as required.

Qualifications Essential
GCSEs in English and Maths

Administrative qualifications
Experience Essential
Good standard of general education, including English and Maths. Previous experience in an administrative, call handling, customer service or booking role. Confident and professional telephone manner. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Good IT skills, including confidence using email, Microsoft Office, and booking or database systems. Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to prioritise workload and manage multiple tasks effectively. Able to work calmly and professionally in a busy environment. Good interpersonal skills and ability to work as part of a team.
Desirable
Experience working in a healthcare, diagnostic or patient-facing administrative role. Experience of appointment booking systems or patient administration systems. Understanding of the importance of confidentiality and data protection in a healthcare setting.
