Job summary We are seeking a registered nurse or midwife with experience in neonatal care and governance/patient safety. The role requires the post holder to work autonomously across both Prince Charles and Princess of Wales Hospital sites. If you are ready for a new challenge, we would welcome hearing from you.
Main duties of the job
Be responsible for promoting and monitoring that 'Safe and Effective Care' within the Neonatal Services is delivered in line with the Welsh Government's National Clinical Framework: A Learning Healthcare System and NHS Shared Service Partnership Legal and Risk service to support 'an integrated approach towards risk assessment, claims management, reimbursement and learning to improve. The individual will work with the Clinical Risk and Governance Midwife, Senior Nurse for Neonatal and Consultant Paediatrician for Clinical Risk, to promote and facilitate opportunities to learn and support the development and implementation of improvements to enhance patient safety and outcomes.'
Act as a professional role model in order to ensure others are enablers to support risk assessment to enhance patient safety outcomes.
Provide direct and indirect care, whilst developing others through training and education.

Qualifications/Knowledge Essential
Registered Nurse Master's Degree in health related subject or equivalency Demonstrable evidence of having a good understanding of Governance to include risks, incidents and complaints
Experience Essential
Significant experience working in Neonatal settings Experience in delivering a high standard of evidence based individual client care
Skills Essential
Effective communicator with good leadership and interpersonal skills
Desirable
Confident with digital working Welsh language speaking/listening skills at Level 3 or above
