Job summary We are looking for a compassionate and motivated Healthcare Assistant (HCA) to join our Integrated Contraception and Sexual Health Service in Cheshire West & Chester. As part of a multidisciplinary team, you will support the delivery of high-quality, confidential sexual health services. You will play a key role in providing clinical support, promoting healthy lifestyles, and ensuring patients receive safe and effective care within a welcoming and non-judgemental environment. Main duties of the job We are looking for a compassionate and motivated Healthcare Assistant (HCA) to join our Integrated Contraception and Sexual Health Service in Cheshire West & Chester. As part of a multidisciplinary team, you will support the delivery of high-quality, confidential sexual health services. You will play a key role in providing clinical support, promoting healthy lifestyles, and ensuring patients receive safe and effective care within a welcoming and non-judgemental environment. Support clinicians in delivering high-quality care within clinic settings. Assist with specialist clinics (e.g. implant and IUD procedures). Carry out clinical tasks such as phlebotomy, microscopy, and asymptomatic screening, among others. Provide health promotion advice and support patients with sexual health education. Ensure accurate record-keeping and reporting. Maintain patient dignity, privacy, and confidentiality at all times.

Qualifications Essential
Essential qualifications include excellent communication and interpersonal skills, a strong patient-focused approach, and a Care Certificate (or willingness to obtain). Desirable qualifications include venepuncture experience, knowledge or experience of microscopy, and experience working in a healthcare or clinical setting.
