We are looking for an Assistant Psychologist to join our team at Cygnet Hospital Bierley.This role will be working on a full time basis of 37.5 hour per week Monday to Friday.Cygnet Hospital Bierley provides a range of acute and low secure mental health services for men and women. The hospital is set across four wards offering single-sex male and female specialist mental health services.The hospital has recently been recognised for service innovation and development with a Quality Improvement Project to increase service user involvement in the care planning process that received widespread recognition, received positive feedback from inspections including the Welsh CQC and the West Yorkshire Provider Collaborative, and is proud to have accreditation in the triangle of care.The psychology team work part of the MDT across all four wards to provide specialist psychological provision, including assessment, interventions, training and staff consultancy and support. You would be joining a friendly and welcoming team who are all committed to providing person centred, individualised, recovery focused, and trauma informed care.We are seeking an academically strong candidate to support and enhance the psychological care of patients at the service by assisting the Qualified Psychologist with; Contributing to assessments, scoring and reporting (verbal / written) Clinical form ulation and implementing care plans for psychological treatment Planning, delivering and evaluating individual / group programmes Administration, audit, research and service developmentWere looking for someone who is Degree qualified in Psychology (2:1 or above) or equivalent BPS (British Psychological Society) Accredited Preferably experienced in health care and/or in an Assistant Psychologist role Passionate about learning and working as part of an interdisciplinary team Qualified to Masters degree level or higher in Psychology (preferable)Why Cygnet?
