Job summary

Blackpool Community Mental Health Team has an exciting opportunity for a Band 6 Community Mental Health Practitioner to join the team supporting our complex emotional needs pathway delivering Structured Clinical Management. This post provides the opportunity for a forward thinking and enthusiastic individual to develop and implement safe, sound and supportive services that embrace the provision of holistic care. With a strong emphasis on multidisciplinary working and the principles laid out in the Recovery Model, you will need to be an innovative thinker and be able to form effective relationships.

Main duties of the job

You will have a working knowledge of Structured clinical management and be able to work with a complex range of emotional needs undertaking assessments, care planning and the risk assessment.

Person Specification

Qualifications Essential

Recognised Core Mental Health Professional Qualification (e.g. RMN, SW, OT)

Knowledge Essential

Knowledge around a variety of personality presentations Detailed knowledge of the impact of risk and protective factors that affect people with mental health problems Knowledge of medication prescribed for management of mental health issues Working knowledge of the range of treatments available for people with personality disorder

Experience Essential

Post qualification experience of clinical work and assessment with service users experiencing a range of mental health problems Experience of risk assessment and management Experience of working in and/or knowledge of community mental health service provision
