Job summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly organised and personable Ward Secretary to join Fletcher Ward within our Mental Health Inpatient Services.
This is a key administrative role supporting the smooth and efficient running of the ward. You will work closely with the Ward Manager and wider multidisciplinary team, acting as the first point of contact for patients, relatives, carers and professionals. Your ability to manage competing demands and communicate effectively will be essential in ensuring a responsive and supportive service.
Main duties of the job Provide comprehensive clerical and administrative support to the ward. Act as a central point of contact, triaging enquiries to the ward office from patients, relatives, carers and professionals. Support the Ward Manager and clinical team with day-to-day administrative processes. Maintain accurate records and support with data entry and documentation. Coordinate communications and ensure timely responses to queries. Provide cross-cover and administrative support to other wards and the wider Inpatient Services department as required.
