Job summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated and innovative qualified ACP, or an aspiring ACP looking to begin their journey, to join our Specialised Cancer Services team delivering expert clinical care within the Elective Systemic Anti-Cancer Therapy Service.
The individual will join a team of nurse ACPs delivering outpatient SACT treatments across the South Yorkshire and North East Derbyshire Cancer Alliance Region.
This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in shaping high-quality oncology services and improving patient outcomes.
Main duties of the job
The successful applicant will be a member of the team working as an autonomous accountable practitioner, or trainee, assessing and managing patients receiving systemic anti-cancer therapy. They will work on their own initiative and in collaboration with medical, nursing and allied healthprofessionals to deliver safe, timely patient centred care. Experience of working in Oncology independently and subsequently prescribing SACT, is desirable but not essential.
We are seeking an inspirational and influential leader who is confident, dynamic and visible with existing experience - or a willingness to develop significant experience - as an ACP within a non-surgical oncology setting.
The successful candidate will be committed to progressing throughand completing the ACCEND ACP framework. Working with department managers and wider teams the individual will be required to ensure that clinical quality standards are consistently achieved and maintained.The successful candidate must demonstrate a passion for nursing, be a role model who demonstrates the Trust values. As an autonomous practitioner the post holder will be required to work collaboratively with the wider MDT. They will also provide leadership and mentorship to support the development of the wider nursing team.

Qualification Essential
(Band 7 & 8a) Relevant Masters' degree in Advanced Practice or NHSE Centre for Advancing Practice Advanced Practice Digital Badge (Band 6, 7 & 8a) Registered Nurse with Valid NMC registration or Health Care Professional and registered with HCPC with relevant clinical experience (Band 7 & 8a) Intermediate life support qualification (ILS) dependant on role (Band 6, 7 & 8a) Evidence of relevant continuous professional development (Band 6, 7 & 8a) Advanced Physical Assessment module, Non-Medical Prescribing (if part of proposed role) (Band 6) The candidate must be eligible to apply for and willing to complete a full MSc in Advanced Clinical Practice. Eligibility criteria includes an Honours degree at 2.2 or above in a related health care subject. Alternatively, evidence of completion of pre-entry assessment at HEI or successful level 7 study will also be considered.
