This exciting salaried role offers a varied and rewarding job plan, including routine 15 minute appointments within a well supported clinical environment, on call duties backed by an experienced multidisciplinary team. Opportunities to contribute to community hospital care, based at Welshpool Hospital just up the road. The post also includes involvement with enhanced service clinics, providing scope to develop specialist interests and deliver high quality patient care across a diverse range of services.
We are looking for 6 - 8 sessions per week
Salary starting at £11,000 per session based on experience
BMA model contract including CPD
6 weeks annual leave
No extended hours
Indemnity cover included
Mix of 15 minutes face to face and 10 minute phone calls
Daily clinical coffee catch up with colleagues
Cake Friday
Opportunities to participate or develop special interests including teaching medical students or GP registrars
Flexible approach to working patterns

Welshpool Medical Practice is an established, forward thinking, two sited Practice, located on the Powys, Shropshire border.
Welshpool is a market town located within beautiful Mid Wales, within easy commuting distance to Oswestry, Chester and Shrewsbury.
A friendly rural market town location with an excellent quality of life.
Our main site is based in Welshpool, enveloped with a branch surgery nestled within the country village of Guilsfield.
We are a Dispensing Practice with a growing list size of 11,400 patients. As an Advanced Training Practice we offer opportunities to GP Registrars and Medical Students. We are proud to be an Inspectorate of Wales high achieving Practice.

We provide cover to our local Community Hospital with its inpatient beds and Minor Injury Unit.
Our Practice Team consists of six GP Partners, 3 Salaried GPs, 1 Retainer Salaried GP working with wonderful Advanced Nurse Practitioners, Triage nurses, Paramedic, Practice Nurses, Health Care Assistants, Management Team, Pharmacy Technicians, Dispensers, Receptionists and Administrators. We are appreciative of our close working relationship with our super Health Board colleagues who are located close to the Practice.

Qualifications Essential
GMC registration licence, listed on the Welsh Medical Performers list, DBS with no restrictions, MRCGP
