About this role

Job summary

We are looking for a highly organised and compassionate Bank Community Nursing Administratorto oversee the day-to-day delivery of nursing admin across Hounslow Borough and Specialist Services.

You will play a critical role in supporting clinicians, service users, and their families/carers, ensuring seamless service delivery.

Main duties of the job

In this role, you will:

Manage and coordinate administrative tasks for community nursing teams Liaise directly with clinicians to ensure efficient scheduling, communication, and documentation Act as a key point of contact for service users and their families, providing support and answering queries Provide cross-cover to nursing teams across the borough when required to meet service needs

The ideal candidate will possess:

Strong organisational and multitasking skills Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities A proactive, flexible approach to supporting teams and service users Attention to detail and the ability to work efficiently under pressure

Qualifications Essential

GCSE or equivalent qualifications in English and maths

Desirable

Formal administration qualification, e.g., Apprenticeship / NVQ 2 ECDL qualification or similar

Experience Essential

Experience in providing dynamic high quality administration support to a range of people/teams Experience of inputting to and maintenance of electronic systems Excellent planning and organisational skills Ability to work flexibly towards multiple deadlines Experience of supporting the delivery of change

Desirable

Use of NHS IT systems

Knowledge Essential

Knowledge of processes, systems and structure used to deliver efficient and effective administration support in a large organisation Understanding of data protection and confidentiality Knowledge of the principles of good customer care

Knowledge of how community nursing services operate

Skills Essential

Excellent written and spoken command of the English language Ability to work as part of a team, taking responsibility for individual tasks, and providing cover/support to others in the delivery of shared tasks Ability to work in a busy role whilst always maintaining professionalism Good verbal communication and negotiation skills, particularly in dealing with patients and others contacting the service Intermediate skills in the use of the internet and Microsoft Office packages, specifically Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook Digitally literate with an understanding of the benefits of optimising digital tools to improve clinical services Good organisational and interpersonal skills Note and action taking skills Ability to collate data and present it as requested Ability to work with minimal supervision in the effective management of own time and workload to meet agreed deadlines Problem solving skills Able to demonstrate forward-thinking approach Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
