Long Bennington Medical Centre has an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and motivated Salaried GP to join our dynamic, supportive, and progressive team working 4 to 6 sessions per week.
Long Bennington Medical Centre is a well-established GP-led dispensing doctors practice located in the rural village of Long Bennington on the boarder of Nottinghamshire, Lincolnshire and Leicestershire. We are situated in a purpose-built medical centre and proud to be part of a forward-thinking Primary Care Network with numerous supportive ARRs roles.

Main duties of the job
To work as an autonomous practitioner, responsible for the provision of medical services to the practice population, delivering an excellent standard of clinical care whilst complying with the GMS contract. The post-holder will adhere to the GMC standards for good medical practice, contributing to the effective management of the practice, leading by example, maintaining a positive, collaborative working relationship within our multidisciplinary team.

The following are the core responsibilities of the Salaried GP role. There may be on occasion, a requirement to carry out other tasks; this will be dependent upon factors such as workload and staffing levels:
The delivery of highly effective medical care to the entitled population The provision of services commensurate with the GMS contract Generic prescribing adhering to local and national guidance Effective management of long-term conditions Processing of administration in a timely manner, including referrals, repeat prescription requests and other associated administrative tasks Maintain accurate clinical records in conjunction with good practice, policy and guidance Working collaboratively, accepting an equal share of the practice workload Adhere to best practice recommended through clinical guidelines and the audit process Contribute to the successful implementation of continuous improvement and quality initiatives within the practice Understand the organisations and local safeguarding policies and procedures Partake in meetings and case conferences regarding safeguarding matters when requested Attend and/or complete regular training commensurate with their role in accordance with their individual terms of reference and practice policyImplementing professional safeguarding responsibilities which includes continual professional development in safeguardingPreventing, Identifying and Responding to abuse and neglect, including supporting victims and survivors of abuseHave governance systems and processes in place to support safeguarding, andWork collaboratively with other health colleagues, safeguarding partners and agenciesAccept delegated responsibility for a specific area (or areas)Attend and contribute effectively to practice meetingsContribute effectively to the development and maintenance of the practice including; clinical governance and trainingEnsure compliance with the appraisal processPrepare and complete the revalidation processCommit to self-learning and instil an ethos of continuing professional development across the practice teamSupport the Partners and Practice Manager in achieving the strategic aims of the practice, making recommendations to enhance income and reduce expenditureReview and adhere to practice protocols and policies at all timesEncourage collaborative working, liaising with all the team and ARR's roles regularly, promoting a culture of continuous improvement at all timesIn addition to the primary responsibilities, the Salaried GP may be requested to:

Knowledge and Skills Essential

Qualifications Essential
To be successfully considered for the role, the applicant must: Hold a Medical Degree MRCGP General Practitioner (Certificate of Completion of Training CCT) Be GMC registered Vocational Training Certificate or equivalent JCPTGP Be registered under the primary medical performers list
