We have an exciting opportunity for a passionate and caring individual to join our teams within Inclusion HMP Grendon, a drug and alcohol treatment and support service for individuals impacted by their own or someone else's use of alcohol or drugs.
In this role, you will utilise all of your expertise in providing a remarkable service and care to your own caseload of service users, this includes being responsible for offering a range of interventions, care planning, assessments and supporting service users through their treatment journey and recovery ambitions - from beginning to end.
Working as part of our dedicated and multi-disciplinary team and alongside our prescribers, you will offer health support via testing clinics for blood borne viruses (BBVs), embracing the concept of recovery and keeping up-to-date and accurate records and documentation.
You will be an integral part of a team, making a real difference to people's lives and the wider communities in which we serve.
Main duties of the job
o Delivering a range of psychosocial interventions to substance misusing offenders within a prison environmento Working in partnership with key agencies to ensure service users are supported on their individual recovery journeyso Delivering the substance misuse and wellbeing elements of the integrated offender team.o Facilitating groups
o To provide a range of low, medium and high intensity interventions as part of the integrated offender mental health, substance misuse team to those service users experiencing substance misuse problems.o To work within a multi-disciplinary team, in a custodial environment delivering a high standard drug and alcohol recovery service in response to the needs of the service users as part of Inclusion and Midlands Partnership NHS Foundation trust.o To provide a range of psycho-social interventions motivating and supporting service users to achieve recovery and positive outcomes within a recovery-orientated substance misuse treatment serviceo To work in collaboration with clinical prescribing services to ensure the needs of each service user is met and that integrated working is a key element to Inclusion's prison services.o To provide a drug and alcohol recovery service (incorporating assessment, recovery planning, casework coordination and psycho-social interventions) to problem drug and alcohol users located within the prison establishment.o To contribute and work within the prison and wider drug strategy.

Qualifications Essential
NVQ 3 Health & Social Care (or commitment to work towards) And/Or Relevant experience in comparable setting.
Experience Essential
Experience of integrated working practices 12 months minimum of working with substance user's
Skills, Knowledge & Abilities Essential
A thorough knowledge of substances and their effects A knowledge of blood borne viruses and sexual health An understanding of harm reduction approaches in relation to substance misuse
Personal Attributes Essential
Commitment to work within the framework of the recovery agenda Motivated to support individuals on recovery journey
