Hywel Dda University Health Board is looking to appointtwo Knowledge Services Assistants to help keep the heartbeat of clinical information flowing. One will be based in Withybush Hospital, Haverfordwest and the other in Prince Philip Hospital, Llanelli.
In this fast-paced support role, you'll organise print and digital resources, keep systems running smoothly, and help busy healthcare staff quickly find the information they need.
You'll be the friendly, reliable go-to for day-to-day enquiries and well-curated knowledge support.

Main duties of the job In this role, you'll help keep our Library & Knowledge Service running smoothly by managing day-to-day tasks and providing an efficient enquiry service for both on-site and remote users. You'll support access to a wide range of resources, handling loans, returns, renewals and inter-library requests, while making sure everything follows copyright guidelines. Part of your role will involve maintaining accurate borrower records, registering new members, and keeping the library space tidy, welcoming and well-stocked. You'll assist users by photocopying, scanning and supplying documents, and offer one-to-one support to help staff find and use evidence-based information. You'll also play a key part in promoting resources through inductions, displays and activities, while building positive relationships with colleagues and partner libraries across Wales and the wider UK. Alongside this, you'll help keep equipment in good working order, manage supplies, collect usage data and feedback, and support basic information searches and IT queries. Working within Library & Knowledge Services policies, you'll contribute ideas to continually improve the quality and accessibility of the service.
