Job summary

As Resident Medical Officer, you'll play a crucial role providing On Call cover for Cygnet Hospital Harrogate. This is our mixed 36 bed mental health hospital that provides an emergency admissions service across two acute wards.

In this role you will be covering On Calls between 5pm and 9am on weekdays and weekends, working on a rota of 4 days on / 3 days off every week. Advice and guidance is available from the Consultants On Call and weekly supervision will be offered within the above hours.

We are looking for someone who is...

Fully GMC registered & MBBS (or equivalent) qualified

An excellent clinical decision maker, with sound judgement, the ability to manage risk & know when to ask for help

Experienced in Psychiatry

Able to work as part of a mu ltidisciplinary team

A first-rate communicator who can interview, assess & treat patients & write clear, comprehensive medical notes

Committed to continued professional development
