We are looking for a sharp, commercially aware Workforce Planner to help shape and optimise rotas across our unscheduled care services. This is a high-impact role focused on workforce planning, rota design, and data-led decision making to ensure that our core rotas have the right people in the right place at the right time, so that we can provide our patients with the best possible service..
You will use Excel, planning tools, and workforce insight to build effective rota patterns, model demand, review changes, and support managers with clear recommendations. Working closely with operational, clinical, and recruitment teams, you will help create and maintain rotas that are efficient, transparent, and aligned to service need, while also managing the day-to-day administration of the rota, including processing starters, leavers, contractual changes, and other workforce updates.
This is an ideal opportunity for someone who enjoys solving staffing challenges, spotting patterns in data, and designing rotas that balance patient demand, workforce availability, and operational performance.
Main duties of the job
Design and maintain rota patterns that are aligned to demand, skills mix, and service requirements. Use Excel and workforce data to provide clear visibility of gaps, trends, and opportunities for improvement. Support managers with practical, insight-led recommendations on rota changes and workforce deployment.
