Job summary
We are a friendly GP practice based in the Forest of Dean looking for a part time administrator to join our admin team. Candidates will need to be computer literate with excellent communication skills, passionate about working in the NHS and helping to support the local community.
Offer general assistance to the practice team and project a positive and friendly image to patients and other visitors, either in person or via the telephone.
Undertake a variety of administrative duties to assist in the smooth running of the practice.
Facilitate effective communication between patients, members the primary health care team, secondary care and other associated healthcare agencies.
The successful candidate will work across both sites to coincide with the new contractual opening hour changes within primary care.

Job description Job responsibilities
Responsibility for all Medical Administration in the Practice. Working alongside the admin team at both sites and other members of the Practice team to ensure effective, efficient and timely medical administration throughout the Practice
Administrative Team requirements as assigned, including:
Document Management and scanning
Medical Summarising
Coding of Medical correspondence
Supporting QOF and other performance indicators and contractual requirements
GP2GP. Monitoring incoming tasks, assigning any that are not already assigned to a member of the team.
Dealing with online access requests / queries.
Patient requests for information (including Subject Access Requests), and medical reports.
Compile and submit information reports on compliance status, actions and workplan.
Working conditions
Frequent, prolonged VDU use.
High levels of accuracy and attention to detail essential at all times.
Occasional work in a time pressured environment.
Some exposure to distressing situations and written material.
