Job summary Join our welcoming and dynamic Pharmacy team at Leicestershire Partnership NHS Trust as a Band 5 Pharmacy Technician (15 hours per week, permanent). Main duties of the job The post holder will demonstrate strong organisational, communication, and computer skills, with the ability to work accurately, proactively, and as part of a multidisciplinary team. A willingness to learn and develop is essential. Key duties include: Dispensing inpatient, outpatient, clinical trial, and controlled drug prescriptions in line with standard operating procedures Supporting the safe and timely supply of medicines by resolving queries and coordinating patient discharges Assisting in the delivery of the clozapine service Using pharmacy IT systems for dispensing, stock control, and medicines management processes Participating in medicines management activities, including patient drug histories and assessing patients own medicines Accuracy checking within a technician-led dispensary Supporting patient counselling and promoting medicines adherence Providing support to wards using the Trusts ePrescribing system Assisting with the daily running of the dispensary, including workflow coordination and query resolution The role requires flexibility to work contracted hours Monday to Friday, with occasional weekends and bank holidays on a rotational basis.
