About us

Beauchamp House Surgery was founded before the commencement of the NHS by two returning Christian Missionaries, Dr Sir Ivor Beauchamp and Dr Norman Green. The practice was started in order to provide the best possible medical services, based on Christian ideals of care and compassion. General Practice in the 21st Century provides a very different context, but these principles remain unchanged.

We currently employ almost 40 staff, valuing our employees and encouraging their career progression. We are a friendly practice with loyal and long serving employees and a dedicated team who meet together regularly both formally and informally.

We offer high quality clinical care, which recognises the importance of physical, psychological and spiritual factors for health and wellbeing. We work in partnership with our patients to provide care which is centred on the needs of each patient, while using the resources available to us as equitably and effectively as possible. We achieve high results and have an excellent level of patient satisfaction.

In recent years we have joined the Chelmsford City Health Primary Care Network, and take an active role in the work of this group.

Chelmsford is one of England's new cities and it is within easy reach of London yet surrounded by some of the best of the Essex countryside. Housing is excellent and schools are of high quality,
