We currently have an exciting vacancy for a Clinical Coder/Medical receptionist to join our admin team. This is a part time role 20 Hours a week.
Desirable Skills
Knowledge of medical terminology is advantageous
A background in Notes Summarising (clinical or non-clinical)
Medical background is beneficial.
Main duties of the job
As Clinical Coder/Administrator you will provide an invaluable link between the third-party information that comes into the Practice on a daily basis and the patients electronic records. Therefore, we need someone with accurate keyboard and IT skills and an understanding of medical terminology. Previous experience as a coder or notes summariser would be preferable though not essential. This role may also suit someone with previous Medical experience. The role also involves working hours at reception, answering phone calls, dealing with patient queries, booking appointments, checking emails.
