Job summary
Modality LLP is a large-scale provider of NHS and private Outpatient Services, renowned for its innovative approach to delivering efficient pathways for patients requiring specialist care, leading to high-quality patient outcomes. We work in partnership with a number of hospitals across the country to collaboratively redesign outpatient services with more care being delivered in community settings. We also deliver private care for patients with private medical insurance and for self-pay patients.
We are seeking a motivated and high-performing full-time Senior Medical Secretary (Private Services) to provide all aspects of secretarial and administrative duties to a group of consultants and the wider clinical team for self-pay and insured patients/clients. The postholder will oversee delivery of the administrative function that underpins our private services.

Main duties of the job
The Senior Medical Secretary will lead and coordinate the day-to-day administrative function of Modality Private Services, ensuring that all patient pathway coordination, booking and administrative processes operate efficiently and to a high standard.
The post holder will line manage a team of Patient Pathway Coordinators, providing leadership, oversight and support to ensure that the administrative team delivers an excellent experience for self-pay and insured patients and clients.
The Senior Medical Secretary will act as the first point of contact for resolving queries from B2B partners and external agencies, and will work closely with operational, clinical and support teams to remove barriers and drive continuous improvement across the administrative function.

Knowledge Essential
Knowledge of administrative procedures within a private healthcare environment Knowledge of software programmes including Microsoft Office Word, Excel, Outlook and other relative software product Understanding of how clinical services work and the importance of/inter-links between the duties commensurate with this role Knowledge/previous experience of clinical systems e.g. Semble, IRIS, Apollo Radiology portal Knowledge of data protection and confidentiality regulations within healthcare
