Main duties of the job
To perform a range of physiological cardiac investigations on both inpatients and outpatients across a broad age range, delivering high quality, evidence based holistic care.
To produce technical reports and analysis of investigations, working both independently and under supervision that will have a direct effect on patient care.
Preparation and monitoring of patients for complex cardiac investigations.
To promote a collaborative approach to care whilst supporting and facilitating the learning of others.

Person Specification
Qualifications Essential
BSC (Hons) in healthcare science (Cardiac Science) or equivalent.
Desirable
ILS certification. Society for Cardiological Science and Technology (SCST) Exams Professional registration with the Academy of Healthcare Science (AHCS / RCCP)
Experience Essential
Experience in a range of cardiac physiology investigations.
Desirable
Previous healthcare experience. Evidence of CPD within Cardiology field
Skills Essential
IT literate Demonstrable experience including vocational undergraduate training programme. Competent in 12 lead ECGs, performing & reporting ETT & HUTT, ambulatory monitoring preparation and analysis, haemodynamic monitoring/recording during cardiac angiography.
