Job summary

Are you a Registered Mental Health Nurse, Occupational Therapist, or Social Worker passionate about making a difference in mental health crisis care? Join our First Response Team at Bradford District Care NHS Foundation Trust!

You'll provide high-quality, evidence-based interventions, risk and safety management, and safeguarding for patients in crisis. Working collaboratively with allied health professionals, you'll empower patients and carers, champion dignity and choice, and support recovery-focused care.

Main duties of the job

- To provide care and interventions, risk and safety management and safeguarding of patients involved with the First Response Service

- To engage in regular supervision with the Team Manager/Advanced Nurse Practitioner

- Discuss, reflect and find solutions to challenges experienced in the role

- To deliver a high standard and quality service which enables patients to be supported throughout their care pathway whilst promoting independence and protecting choice, dignity, privacy and safety

- To work in support of other allied health care professionals in the assessment, planning, and evaluation of care and treatment

- To communicate effectively at all times with other services of the Care Trust, other health care professionals and with the patient family, carers/visitors to ensure holistic care is delivered

Person Specification

EXPERIENCE Essential

Minium 2 years experience in Mental health care/treatment relevant to service area.

Desirable

Teaching, training and/or supervision of clinical staff.

SKILLS Essential

Assessing, formulating and working with people & families presenting in heightened state of distress. Clinical risk assessment and contingency planning.

Desirable

Brief psychological interventions/strategies for managing crisis.

QUALIFICATIONS Essential

Registered Mental Nursing Certificate (RMN) - Current Registration on part 3 or part 13 of NMC register. Or Occupational Therapist registration HPC Or Social Workers registered GSCG with the Assessed and Supported Year in Employment Evidence of continuing professional development

Desirable

Clinical supervision qualification Post Graduate level education in psychological therapy

KNOWLEDGE Essential

Evidenced based clinical interventions relevant to the service.
