About this role
Job summary We are seeking an experienced and motivated Band 7 Obstetric MSK Physiotherapist to join our MSK Outpatient Physiotherapy team. The successful candidate will provide specialist assessment and management of pregnancy-related and postnatal musculoskeletal conditions, delivering high-quality, evidence-based care to women across antenatal and postnatal pathways.
The post holder will work autonomously within a multidisciplinary team, managing complex obstetric MSK presentations including pelvic girdle pain, low back pain, abdominal muscle dysfunction and pregnancy-related mobility issues. The role also includes contributing to service development, clinical leadership, education, audit, and supervision of junior staff and students.
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced clinician with excellent communication and clinical reasoning skills, a passion for womens health, and experience in delivering specialist obstetric physiotherapy services within the NHS.
Main duties of the job
To perform the advanced physiotherapeutic assessment, diagnosis and treatment of patients within this specialist field who may have complex physical and psychological conditions and / or chronic presentation. He / She will play a key role in the development implementation and evaluation of specialist physiotherapy rehabilitation programmes and packages of care.
As an experienced physiotherapist the job holder will assist in co-ordinating the activities of the team ensuring efficient and effective service provision. He / She will be required to ensure effective communication is maintained at all times, whilst providing training, supervision and clinical expertise to qualified and unqualified staff and students.
As a lead clinician in this specialist, the job holder will act as a role model to the physiotherapy team, promoting quality evidence based practice, developing the physiotherapy team and contributing to the effective management of the team in the absence of the Clinical Physiotherapy Manager.

You will bring:
