About this role

The Procurement Data and Insight Analyst plays a key role in supporting Unilabs’ procurement operations through data analysis, reporting, and actionable insights. This role requires a strong understanding of procurement processes, data analysis methods, and business intelligence tools. The successful candidate will work closely with the procurement team to optimize strategies, identify savings opportunities, and monitor supplier performance. About the role

The Procurement Data and Insight Analyst is responsible for building and maintaining analytical tools and intelligence systems that support procurement planning and operations across Europe. This is primarily a technical role focused on dashboards, automated reporting, and monitoring frameworks that help the procurement team act proactively on contract risks, savings opportunities, and process bottlenecks.

The successful candidate will work at the intersection of data engineering, procurement strategy, and operational excellence, translating complex spend data into clear, actionable insights for senior stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

Tool development & BI ownership core focus

Design, build, and maintain Power BI dashboards and automated reports to support procurement planning and decision-making Develop and manage monitoring frameworks that generate real-time alerts for contract expirations, process delays, and sourcing gaps Build and maintain Excel-based tools using automation features such as Power Query or VBA for ad hoc analysis and modelling Ensure data quality, refresh reliability, and clear documentation across all developed tools

Procurement intelligence & monitoring core focus

Identify spend categories not covered by active contracts and prioritize them for negotiation cycles Maintain a live view of the contract portfolio, including renewal timelines, savings tracking, and compliance status Flag delayed procurement processes and escalate them to the relevant stakeholders in a timely manner Produce regular spend analyses to identify trends, maverick buying, and cost-saving opportunities across categories

Data analysis & reporting

Collect, structure, and interpret large procurement datasets to identify patterns and improvement opportunities Define and maintain KPIs, SLAs, and performance benchmarks across the procurement function Provide ad hoc analysis and reporting to support data-driven decisions by the leadership team

Supplier performance & strategy

Monitor supplier performance against defined KPIs and SLAs, identify gaps, and recommend corrective actions Conduct market research and supplier analysis to support category strategies and sourcing decisions Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including finance, operations, and legal, to align procurement insights with business priorities

Process improvement

Identify opportunities to streamline procurement workflows and improve operational efficiency Support the implementation of process standardization initiatives across markets Requirements

Education

Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Finance, Data Analytics, or a related field

Experience

3–5 years of experience in procurement, data analysis, or business intelligence roles Proven experience building and owning dashboards and reporting tools; consumption-only experience is not sufficient Experience in the healthcare, pharmaceutical, or diagnostics industry is a strong advantage

Technical skills

Hands-on experience developing in Power BI, including data modelling, DAX, and Power Query, is required Advanced Excel skills, including Power Query and VBA automation, are required Experience with Tableau or equivalent BI tools is a plus Experience with Coupa or similar procurement/P2P platforms (e.g., SAP Ariba, Jaggaer) is required Ability to build automated reporting pipelines and alert mechanisms from structured procurement data Familiarity with SQL or Python for data extraction and transformation is a plus

Strong analytical and structured problem-solving skills, with the ability to work with large and complex datasets Clear and direct communication skills, with the ability to translate data into executive-level insights High attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to manage competing priorities Collaborative and cross-functional mindset, with the ability to work effectively across finance, operations, and legal teams

Languages

Fluency in English is mandatory, as it is the working language of the team Proficiency in Portuguese, French, Spanish, or another European language is a strong advantage given Unilabs’ pan-European footprint
