Job SummaryThis position is part of the Defense Threat Reduction Agency. The incumbent will be responsible for serving as the DoD authority and subject matter expert on nuclear weapons stockpile reporting policies and accounting procedures.

QualificationsYou may qualify at the GS-14, if you fulfill the following qualifications: A. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience that equipped you with the particular competencies to successfully perform the duties of the position and that is typically in or related to the position to be filled. To qualify at the GS-14, applicants must possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-13 or equivalent under other pay systems in the Federal service, military, or private sector. Managed the U.S. nuclear weapons stockpile, ensuring accountability, security, and compliance with national directives. Identified, assessed, and mitigated programmatic and operational risks using advanced analytical methods and technologies to ensure mission continuity. Analyzed and reviewed software development business processes, identifying inefficiencies and recommending strategic improvements to optimize the development lifecycle. Coordinated major programs and strategic projects across the Office of the Secretary of War (OSW), Combatant Commands (CCMDs), Services, and other national-level agencies. Led cross-functional teams through complex, high-stakes operational scenarios, ensuring successful outcomes and decisive action. Project Management: Knowledge of the principles, methods, or tools for developing, scheduling, coordinating, and managing projects and resources, including monitoring and inspecting costs, work, and contractor performance.?????? Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.

Major DutiesAs a SUPERVISORY NUCLEAR LOGISTICS STOCKPILE SPECIALIST at the GS-0301-14 some of your typical work assignments may include: Serve as the DoD authority and subject matter expert on nuclear weapons stockpile reporting policies and accounting procedures. Act as the JS J36 and OASD (ND-CBD) representative and spokesperson for establishing nuclear weapon reporting policy and guidance. Direct Presidential guidance implementation for nuclear deterrent distribution across Military Services. Plan, organize, and direct the operations of the Defense Stockpile Management System (DSMS) software application development team. Serve as a nuclear stockpile action officer, ensuring accurate and timely reporting and accountability.
