QualificationsTHIS IS A NATIONAL GUARD TITLE 32 EXCEPTED SERVICE POSITION OPEN TO THE FOLLOWING AREA OF CONSIDERATION (AOC): Area of Consideration: This position is open to Areas 1 and 2 Only. Area 1: Current employees of the South Carolina Army National Guard (Tenure 1 and 2) Area 2: Current members of the South Carolina Army National Guard Area 3: Any individual eligible for membership in the South Carolina Army National Guard GENERAL EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: Experience, education, or training which demonstrates administrative, professional, investigative, or technical work requiring the ability to deal effectively with others, to collect, evaluate and organize pertinent facts. Experience preparing clear and concise written reports. SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: Must have at least 1 year of experience, education or training performing functions involving various intelligence systems and organizations. Experience reviewing and analyzing data including technical reports, surveys, and studies. Experience preparing and conducting training plans and programs, both formal and on-the-job. CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT & NOTES: 1. Must be able to obtain and maintain the appropriate security clearance of the position. 2. This position is covered by the Domestic Violence Misdemeanor Amendment (30 Sep 96) of the Gun Control Act (Lautenberg Amendment) of 1968. An individual convicted of a qualifying crime of domestic violence may not perform the duties of this position. 3. Major DutiesThis position is located in the J2, Intelligence and security function of the Joint Forces Headquarters-State (JFHQ-ST). The primary purpose of the position is to perform specialized duties and to train assigned military unit members in the duties and functions associated with operational intelligence. Provides detailed intelligence analysis for mission planning and execution, training exercises, briefings and debriefings for the state Joint Senior staff, subordinate units and members. Serves as a subject matter expert for intelligence systems, order of battle maintenance, mission planning, threat analysis, and Geo-spatial Intelligence and Systems (GI&S) support. In addition, the incumbent performs complex intelligence analysis of economic, geographic, political, military topics and threats that could impact the JFHQ-ST mission success. This position requires a comprehensive working knowledge of intelligence support operations, procedures, and practices. Work involves the collection, analysis, development, protection and dissemination of intelligence information which directly or indirectly affects the national security.
