QualificationsQUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: This is an interdisciplinary position, which means that the duties and responsibilities of the position relate to the Computer Engineer (0854), Computer Scientist (1550), and Data Scientist (1560) fields. COMPETENCIES: Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas: Problem Solving, Communication, Technology Management, Teamwork and Leadership IDEAL CANDIDATE: We are seeking an ambitious, experienced Data Scientist and/or Full-Stack Developer to join an energetic and highly motivated agile team. Highly analytical professional who finds purpose in solving the world's most complex data challenges and understands how to bridge the gap between complex data and actionable intelligence for the warfighter. -Proficiency in Python or other high-level programming languages (e.g., R, Java, C#), IDE (Visual Studio), Cloud Technologies (AWS), CI/CD Pipelines, Containerization, Kubernetes, GitLab, and DevSecOps best practices to engineer quantitative solutions for complex, mission-critical challenges. -Ability to translate real world problems into mathematical equations, using decision variables, objective functions, and constraints to analyze system behaviors. -Ability to use ArcGIS Pro to generate visualizations and run spatial modeling scenarios. -Ability to integrate Geospatial Information Science disciplines into quantitative analytic products. -Ability to design, test, and deploy Artificial Intelligence capabilities such as Computer Vision, Natural Language Processing, and LLMs. Experienced in training, fine-tuning, and deploying large language models to build prompt-driven APIs that automate repetitive tasks. -Analyze and resolve routine to moderately difficult problems within assigned area, using established Agile/SCRUM development methodologies and processes to further orient the incumbent in the application of IT principles, methods, techniques, security, automation, unit testing, architecture, administration, troubleshooting, system recovery, planning, and creative IT solutions PART-TIME OR UNPAID EXPERIENCE: Credit will be given for appropriate unpaid and or part-time work. Major Duties-Develops, modifies, secures, and automates software, systems, components, applications, and architectures; and advances computing technologies using state-of-the-art industry best practices. -Analyzes and resolves complex problems within assigned area, developing new or modifying existing methods, techniques, security, automation, architecture, administration, troubleshooting, system recovery, planning, theories, and creative solutions. -Develop algorithms and/or tools to support data manipulation and processing as well as the use of data visualization techniques to articulate findings -Gathers and reviews requirements, reconciles security vulnerabilities, prevents duplication of effort, determines second and third-order effects, and assesses the impacts that new system or software will have on current or future systems. -Assesses and renders advice and assistance; provides formal and informal training to project managers, peers, and end users in specialty area technologies, concepts, interfaces, and issues. -Serves as a lead or key member in ongoing technical teams involved with the architecture, implementation, and testing of systems, applications, security, and technologies. ??????? -Leads, mentors, and performs complex assignments within a team environment to improve capability of a technology area or address command initiatives.
