Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes 1) forecasting operational needs to establish budget figures; 2) advising on financial operations to ensure regulatory compliance; AND 3) monitoring expenditures or requisitions to identify discrepancies or funding shortages. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11). Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted.
Major DutiesReport program status to the command group via Review and Analysis meetings.Review and update activities and procedures in accordance with program guidance.Direct employees engaged in tasks oriented to obtaining the data necessary to accomplish budgetary programming, formulation and execution.Develop specific fiscal programs to support plans and objectives.Conduct ongoing review, analysis and assessment of existing budgetary programs with regard to execution, effectiveness, efficiency and ability to fund.Responsible for separate budgets for Medical, Dental, Public Health, and Real Property Maintenance programs.
