QualificationsWHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR You must have one year specialized experience to perform successfully the duties of the position. To be creditable, specialized experience must have been equivalent to at least the GS-14 grade level in the Federal service performing ALL of the following: Serving as a senior subject-matter expert and advisor to senior leadership on international trade issues with a public health impact. Serving as a representative in interagency trade policy bodies, shaping official positions across complex trade mechanisms, sectoral issues, and investigative processes. Conducting and directing technical analysis of trade agreements, investigative actions, and proposed trade measures and assessing impacts to inform senior leadership decision making. Major DutiesWHAT YOU'LL BE DOING DAY TO DAY As a Director, Trade and Health, you will use your knowledge and experience to optimize business results and customer experience by: Incumbent reports to the Deputy Assistant Secretary for Global Affairs and will oversee a portfolio of global trade and public health policy issues relevant to the work of OGA and HHS. Represents HHS in interagency trade policy bodies across a broad range of trade mechanisms, sectoral issues, investigative processes led by other agencies, and regional matters that implicate HHS authorities and programs. Assesses implications of proposed or existing trade measures for HHS-administered programs and authorities.
