QualificationsThis is an interdisciplinary position and may be filled by a Mechanical Engineering Series (0830-series), an Computer Engineering Series (0854-series), a Electronics Engineering Series (0855-series), a Mathematics Series (1520-series) or a Computer Science Series (1550-series) depending upon the qualifications of the candidate. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: As a professional engineer or scientist applying systems engineering principles to design or develop undersea warfare systems. At least one year of experience at the ND04 level in development, acquisition or in-service support for undersea weapons or complex undersea warfare systems. Major DutiesYou will be responsible for acquisition and production efforts to increase inventory and improve product quality and delivery time of MK 48 torpedoes and associated ancillary equipmentYou will plan, manage and direct MK 48 torpedo production engineering activities and coordinate testing and integration efforts to assess performance leading to government acceptance of new production hardwareYou will coordinate activities and provides day-to-day technical and project direction to a large team comprised of Level 04 and 05 engineers, scientists, technicians and logisticiansYou will review contractor submitted technical and contractual documents for technical accuracy and contractual compliance.
