About this role

AbbVie is seeking a Project Engineer to join the PDS&T Injection Devices group. In this role, you will contribute to the design, development, characterization, and lifecycle support of drug delivery devices and related combination products. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to advance robust, manufacturable, and patient-centered device solutions.

Support design and development activities for injection drug delivery devicesPerform mechanical analysis, prototyping, testing, and troubleshooting of device components and assembliesEvaluate device performance, identify failure modes, and support root cause investigationsAssist with verification, validation, and technical transfer activitiesCollaborate with R&D, manufacturing, quality, regulatory, and suppliers to advance device programsGenerate and review technical documentation, test reports, specifications, and protocolsSupport change control, risk assessments, and continuous improvement effortsContribute to device platform strategy, robustness, and manufacturabilityEnsure all work is conducted in compliance with safety, quality, and applicable regulatory requirements (e.g. 21 CFR 820 / Design Controls) Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical or Biomedical Engineering and typically 10 years of experience, Master’s Degree or equivalent education and typically 8 years of experience.Experience in medical devices, combination products, or related product development environments Applicable only to applicants applying to a position in any location with pay disclosure requirements under state or local law: ​

The compensation range described below is the range of possible base pay compensation that the Company believes in good faith it will pay for this role at the time ofthis posting based on the job grade for this position. Individual compensation paid within this range will depend on many factors including geographic location,and we may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future. ​

This job is eligible to participate in our short-term incentive programs. ​
