About this role
The Economics Team work across several economics and credit risk services and consultancy, specializing in model-driven forecasts and analysis for the UK's economy, credit markets, regions, sectors and socio-demographic segments. Examples of the scope of client projects recently undertaken include building expected credit loss models, stress testing and running local area economic impact projections.
Clients include first and second tier banking and financial services commercial real estate, retail and planning companies and the public sector.
In this role you will report to the Analytics Engineer Manager.
What you'll do:
Data AnalysisData preparation, analysis, modelling and forecastingWork with large datasets from both public sources and Experian's in-house databasesUse econometric software, including R and EViews, to manipulate and forecast datasetsSupport the senior econometrician in reviewing and refining existing modelsSupport projects to develop econometric & credit forecasting models and processes for both consulting projects with external clients and in-house useBuild econometric and credit risk modelsIdentify valuable insights and data featuresOpportunities to present forecasts and analysis to partnersEnsure data quality and documentationEssential Experience – You should apply if you have:
Experience presenting economic & macroeconomic data to partnersRelevant experience building econometric models and producing macroeconomic forecastsExperience in use of standard econometric and statistical packages, for example EViews and/оr R, is desirableProject Management

MSc or undergraduate degree in Economics, Econometrics or related discipline. Candidates with degrees with a focus on macroeconomics, statistics, mathematics and econometrics are encouraged to apply.3+ years of experience building econometric models and producing macroeconomic forecastsExperience in use of standard econometric and statistical packages, for example EViews and R, is desirableAdvanced Knowledge in statistical software packages and other related technologiesAnticipate and balance the varied interests of stakeholders;Fluent English – written and spoken What you will get:
