We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Teacher of Drama to join our fantastic team at CHS South.

This is a fixed term post for 1 academic year, starting September 2026 on Teaching terms MPS-UPS.

CHS South is an 11–16, eight-form entry, mixed comprehensive school which opened in 2018 in conjunction with Chorlton High School. Our state-of-the-art building opened in September 2021 and serves 1200 students. The Role

The post holder is required to fulfil the professional responsibilities common to all classroom teachers, as outlined in the current School Teachers’ Pay and Conditions Document. The post holder will meet the Professional Standards for Teachers appropriate to their career stage and exercise professional judgement in carrying out their duties collaboratively.The key purpose of the role is to secure high standards of teaching, learning and achievement in Drama, ensuring that all students make strong progress and are supported to reach their full potential. The post holder is accountable to the Curriculum Leader, Senior Leaders, and ultimately the Headteacher.We Are Looking For Someone Who:

Promote the academic progress, wellbeing and positive behaviour of all studentsPlan and deliver high-quality, inclusive lessons across DramaContribute to the development of an ambitious Drama curriculumAssess, monitor and report on progress, implementing timely interventionsWork collaboratively within the Drama team to support the school’s visionReflect on and improve practice through professional development and shared expertiseSupport curriculum development, examinations and school improvement prioritiesParticipate in meetings, duties and enrichment activities as requiredBuild positive relationships with students, parents/carers and external partnersHow To Apply
