About this role
About Us:
At Edwalton Primary School, we are dedicated to fostering a dynamic and supportive learning environment where both our pupils and staff can thrive. As part of the Flying High Partnership, we believe in delivering an exceptional education that empowers children to reach their full potential. Whether through music, sport, the arts, or academia, we strive for excellence at Edwalton. Our school is a place where creativity, collaboration, and commitment come together to create a truly unique learning experience.
We use our unique and special grounds to help bring our curriculum to life. We are lucky to have a working farm with alpacas, pigs, chickens, rabbits, guinea pigs, and even lambs in spring, which enhances the children's (and staff's) experience. We also have a 3-acre woodland where activities such as cross country, forest school clubs, and nurture groups take place. Our woods also house a huge mud kitchen, problem-solving areas, den-building zones, and four outdoor classrooms.
We believe staff well-being is key to ensuring children are happy and achieve their full potential, and that well-being is a culture developed through job satisfaction over time. Staff who attend overnight residentials or run afterschool clubs are entitled to days off in lieu; we offer a full day of PPA each term on top of the usual half-day weekly PPA, and we offer a report writing day for teachers. Our staff turnover is extremely low, and we believe this is due to the fantastic atmosphere, great people, and the environment we create.
We are excited to invite applications for the position of Class Teacher to join our outstanding team of professionals.
