About this role

The Learning Partnership, together with the Principal, is delighted to announce an exciting opportunity for An Early Years’ Teaching Assistant to join our reception team. We are looking for a skilled candidate who is committed to our vision and values, is reliable and resilient, and is passionate about helping our pupils thrive. The successful applicant will have key experience in working with Early Years’ pupils.

What does the role involve?

Supporting the class teacher in delivering the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum

Working with individual pupils and small groups to support learning, development and engagement

Assisting with classroom organisation, preparation of resources and learning activities

Supporting children’s personal, social and emotional development

Observing pupils and contributing to assessments and progress records

Helping to maintain a safe, positive and inclusive learning environment

Supporting children with routines such as transitions, playtime and lunchtime where required

Providing class cover for the class teacher when necessary

Building positive relationships with pupils, staff and parents/carers

Adhering to safeguarding, behaviour and school policies at all times

The successful candidate will hold a minimum Level 3 childcare qualification (or equivalent) and have prior experience supporting pupils in an Early Years’ setting.
