Samuel Ryder Academy - St Albans

PA to the Headteacher

Grade: H7

Hours: 37 hours per week, Term Time + INSET + 2 weeks disaggregated over the academic year

Working pattern: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday: 08:00-16:00, Wednesday: 08:00-18:30

Actual salary: £29,400 per annum

Start Date: September 2026

We are looking for a professional who is well organised, positive and efficient to provide confidential and personal support to the Headteacher of Samuel Ryder Academy.

To be successful, you will have experience as a PA or secretary at a senior level, excellent secretarial and organisational skills, and to be used to working in a busy and sensitive environment. Highly competent in Microsoft Office, you will need a good general education, combined with excellent communications and interpersonal skills.

Working as part of a team, we will require you to use initiative and work without supervision. Able to work under pressure, you will need a sense of humour as well as having a flexible attitude and the ability to adapt to change.
