The Role: Teaching Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join our team at Moreton School. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who wants to make a real difference in the lives of young people. Working closely with teaching staff and the wider pastoral team, you will provide both universal and targeted support that helps students thrive both academically and personally. This would a rewarding role requiring resilience, adaptability, and a need to be eager to make a real difference in the lives of young people. We play to people's strengths and have various opportunities; if you are active and enjoy sport, this could be extremely beneficial; as would being passionate about reading; or really understanding the importance of building relationships in all areas of need.

Key Responsibilities:
Support the academic and personal development of students across a range of abilitiesAssist in delivering high-quality teaching and learning, under the direction of classroom teachersHelp promote positive behaviour, well-being, and engagement in lessonsBuild strong relationships with students to encourage confidence, resilience, and independenceProvide one-to-one or small group interventions where needed
Qualifications and Experience:
Previous experience working with young people in an educational settingA strong understanding of student well-being and the barriers to learningExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to work effectively as part of a team and on your own initiative

A passion for supporting young people from diverse or disadvantaged backgroundsFlexible, patient, and committed to helping students reach their full potentialWillingness to engage in professional development and ongoing training
