We're seeking a motivated Public Health Practitioner with well-developed analytical skills to join our dynamic Nutrition and Obesity Prevention Team within the Health Improvement Division of Public Health Wales. If you enjoy exploring and interpreting data, using tools such as R or Power BI, and turning insights into reports and meaningful action, this role could be your next big step.

Qualifications Essential
Educated to degree level or equivalent level qualification in a health, behaviour or biological science or have equivalent experience Evidence of continuing professional development.
Experience Essential
Experience of implementing or delivering health improvement interventions and projects. Experience of undertaking health promotion activity with communities, groups or in key settings. Experience of staff, stakeholder and public engagement and/or involvement experience
Knowledge & Understanding Essential
Knowledge and understanding of core health promotion concepts and methods Have a basic understanding of the determinants of health Knowledge of key population health strategies and policies
Skills & Abilities Essential
Excellent written and verbal communications skills, including writing for different audiences. High level numeracy skills and ability to manipulate data Ability to interact with people working at different levels. Ability to translate and communicate complex technical information to a range of audiences
