You'll play a key role in patient care, ensuring a smooth journey from admission through discharge by providing efficient service via phone, email, and post. Close collaboration with multidisciplinary teams allows clinicians to focus on patient care while you handle clerical and administrative tasks. The role is part-time, based at Savernake Hospital. Responsibilities include managing clerical tasks, supporting care coordination, maintaining patient records, communicating effectively, handling confidential information professionally, and working proactively as part of a fast-paced team.

Person Specification

Qualifications Essential

Previous administration experience in a busy or customer-facing environment is essential. Candidates should be adept with IT systems, possess strong computer skills including Microsoft Office, and have excellent keyboard and data entry skills with high accuracy. Key attributes include effective communication skills, discretion, and strong organisational skills. Desirable qualifications include an NVQ Level 2 in Administration and/or Customer Services, experience in health or social care settings, basic understanding of medical terminology, and familiarity with clinical systems or healthcare databases.
