An exciting opportunity has arisen on Ward 24 for a dedicated, enthusiastic and motivated Housekeeper.
Ward 24 consists of a 23 bedded general medical ward.
We are a dedicated, welcoming and professional team of staff.
The Housekeeper is an integral member of the team who will work along side the Management and Nursing Team in maintaining a high standard of cleanliness of all Nursing equipment, both in use on the ward and in store.
Main duties of the job
To maintain a high standard of cleanliness of all nursing equipment, both in use on the ward and in store. To ensure all equipment and the ward environment is in good working order at all times and report appropriately if not. Maintain Health and Safety in the workplace and complete risk assessments and electrical checks as required. To order and maintain an appropriate stock supply of consumables to unit via oracle, /telephone/email/hospital supply chain Support ward staff with the serving of food and drinks for the patients. Maintain patient confidentiality and perform clerical tasks such as answering the telephone and use of the It System - Cerner.

Qualifications, Specific Experience & Training Essential
NVQ level 1 in a relevant subject or equivalent

Previous experience in an acute NHS hospital Previous experience of the Cerner Millennium information system Good keyboard and computer skills
Knowledge and Skills Essential
General awareness of Health and Safety and COSHH regulations and processes. Good time management and organisational skills
