Job summary
The Business Administration Co-ordinator for the LD FOLS will provide high level administration support to the Learning Disability Forensic Outreach and Liaison Service team based in Dartford.
The team is friendly, supportive and work well as a team. The role is varied and interesting but does require excellent time management, organisational skills and the ability to adapt ways of working to meet the needs of the service and the patient cohort.
The post holder will be caring, empathetic, supportive and strive to continually improve and innovate to ensure that the team is able to provide the best care for patients.
The challenges of the role are that things can change quickly and the day you have planned may end up being very different.

The Business Administration Co-ordinator for the Learning Disability and/or autist Forensic Outreach Liaison Service (FOLS) will work closely with the LD FOLS Manager and the Consultant Psychiatrist and the wider team.
The role is varied, comprising of routine administration duties, overseeing key performance indicators and providing data and support to help the team remain compliant.
Liaising and working with internal and external colleagues as well as being a first point of contact for patients.

The High-Cost Area (HCA) allowance, also referred to as London Weighting is a payment made to employees who work in London and the surrounding areas.
As this post is based in Dartford, Gravesham or Swanley, the successful applicant will receive an additional payment each month.
5% of basic salary, subject to a minimum payment of £1,346 per year and a maximum payment of £2,270 per year (the agreed annual amount will be divided into 12 equal amounts and paid monthly) (2026/27 figures)

Person Specification
Training Qualifications and Registration Essential
NVQ Level 3 in Business Administration (or equivalent experience) GCSE in Maths and English or equivalent (or equivalent )

Leadership or supervisory experience
Knowledge and Skills Essential
Strong organisational and prioritisation skills Understanding of data quality and governance requirements Ability to manage workload pressures Effective communication skills Ability to work independently within defined parameters Excellent customer service Excellent keyboard skills for accuracy and speed Ability to interact with colleagues and clients courteously Maintain confidentiality

Understanding of NHS systems and operational structures
Experience Essential
Experience working within an office or healthcare administrative environment Experience supervising or coordinating staff Intermediate experience of using IT systems for data document management and reporting. Has an understanding of how to adapt communication for the needs of the person.

Experience in service improvement or change initiatives. Has completed Easy Read training or equivalent
