Job summary As a Healthcare Assistant within our Urgent Care Response Team, youll be part of a valued multidisciplinary service supporting patients across the community to receive urgent care in their own homes. Our Urgent Care Response Team provides rapid assessment and treatment to patients in the community, helping to prevent unnecessary hospital admissions and supporting timely discharge from hospital. As a Band 3 Healthcare Assistant, you will work closely with nurses, therapists and other healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality care to patients in their own homes. You will assist with a range of clinical and personal care tasks, supporting patients with both acute and ongoing healthcare needs. This is a full-time position working 37.5 hours per week. Shifts are worked between 8:00am and 8:00pm, including weekends and public holidays on a rota basis.

Main ResponsibilitiesYou will be responsible for:
Supporting registered clinicians to deliver urgent care and treatment in patients homes. Undertaking delegated clinical tasks such as phlebotomy, catheter care, wound care and pressure area management. Monitoring and recording vital signs and reporting any concerns promptly. Assisting patients with personal care and mobility where required. Maintaining accurate patient records using electronic systems. Working independently in the community and as part of a multidisciplinary team. Qualifications Essential
NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care (or equivalent experience). Full, clean UK driving licence and access to a car for work.
