We are looking for a full-time Multi-Site Practice Manager to join our Birmingham Division. This is much more than a traditional management role; you will be a key member of the Senior Leadership Team, leading operational delivery, supporting practice teams, and driving innovation and service improvement across the Division.
Your skills and experience will help maximise operational efficiency, support high-quality patient care, and ensure the smooth day-to-day running of the practice while contributing to wider organisational priorities. Main duties of the job
This is a dynamic, operational, leadership and strategically focused management role. You will be responsible for day to day practice management, supporting staff and team leaders while ensuring high standards of patient care, compliance and operational performance.
You will work collaboratively with partners, managers, and practice teams to deliver national and local quality standards, supporting innovation and continuous improvement across services.
Key responsibilities include:
Managing practice day to day operations and supporting staff performance and development.Leading and motivating teams to deliver excellent patient services and operational efficiency.Acting as the first point of contact for premises and Health & Safety matters, escalating issues appropriately.Supporting the delivery of CQC, ICB and NHSE standards and requirements.Managing and prioritising projects, operational improvements and service developments.Supporting recruitment, performance management, sickness absence management and implementation of HR policies and procedures.Using effective communication, stakeholder engagement and problem-solving skills to support service improvement.
You will need strong leadership, organisational and communication skills together with the ability to work proactively under pressure. Personal Qualities Essential

Knowledge Essential
Qualifications to NVQ Level 4/5 and/or equivalent experience as a Manager or Senior Supervisor within a GP surgery. Understanding of how the role relates to the wider healthcare team. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Proficiency in the use of clinical IT systems. Knowledge and experience of performance management, recruitment, sickness absence management, and implementation of managerial policies and procedures. Understanding of General Data Protection Regulations and their application within a Primary Care setting.
Skills Essential
Awareness of the importance of innovation within healthcare. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Clear understanding of HR legislation relevant to the role. Ability to develop, motivate, and lead effective teams and deliver excellent patient service. Strong leadership, organisational, and operational management skills. Good financial management skills. Ability to manage competing priorities and work effectively under pressure.
