Main duties of the job
We have a fixed term vacancy for nine months for a band 5 orthoptist to join our friendly team.
Orthoptic students qualifying this Summer are welcome to apply.
You will be working with 13 orthoptists, 4 consultant paediatric ophthalmologists, including 2 with a specialism in ocular motility, 2 neuro-ophthalmologists, 2 vision scientists and 3 paediatric optometrists.

Job description Job responsibilities
You will be involved in a range of orthoptic clinics including paediatric and ocular motility clinics, secondary vision screening, and providing support to the eye emergency department. You will have opportunities for involvement in teaching and audit.

BSc/Diploma in Orthoptics obtained or pending. Registration with HCPC obtained or pending. Skills in clinical orthoptics.
