We are looking to recruit enthusiastic and motivated Pre-Registration Radiographers to join us as Bank Radiographic Assistant Practitioners. This is an excellent opportunity to gain valuable clinical experience, build confidence within a supportive environment. This post will help build transferable abilities to support your next steps into a registered Radiographer role.
This is an excellent opportunity for students / graduate to gain valuable NHS experience within a supportive and dynamic Imaging department while maintaining flexible working arrangements through our staff bank.
Main duties of the job
As a Radiographic Assistant Practitioner, you will work alongside experienced Radiographers and multidisciplinary teams to support the delivery of a high-quality imaging service. You will play an important role in patient care, department workflow, and imaging support duties while developing your professional skills in a busy clinical environment.
What you'll be doing:
Assisting Radiographers with basic imaging and patient care Preparing patients and clinical areas for procedures Supporting departmental flow and patient coordination Maintaining high standards of safety, dignity, and confidentiality Working collaboratively within the multidisciplinary team Ensuring all data is accurately entered into the RIS System What we're looking for:

Person Specification
Qualifications Essential
Assistant Practitioner in radiography foundation degree or equivalent, or qualifying from a UK HEI with a BSc in Diagnostic Radiography this academic year
Knowledge and experience Essential
Experience of general and trauma plain film imaging Experience of mobile, theatre and screening work H&S regulation relating to radiation protection (including IRMER regulations) Computer skills for patient data and image manipulation Manual handling and basic resuscitation
Desirable
Understanding of departmental protocols
Skills and abilities Essential
Good communication skills Good interpersonal skills Image quality assessment skills Good PC skills

Ability to prioritise workflow through x-ray room according to clinical needs of patient
